How can you tell if you're in balance or out of balance in your dosha. See below for what you can try in a day, even if its one thing that got your attention!

Vata relates to the verb “vah” meaning vehicle, or to move. Its principle of mobility that regulates all activity in the body such as blood flow, nerves, impulse and emotions, thus responsible for joy, happiness, creativity, speech and elimination just to name a few functions. Vata element is in charge of the vital life essence - prana, when that leaves your outer here. The qualities or attributes of a vata are dry, light, cold, rough, mobile, subtle and clear, these are what governs its function. Physically a vata person might be tall and slender in size, have flexible bodies, dry eyes and irregular appetite and thirst, they often experience digestive and malabsorption issues. Vata individuals are loving people but may love out of fear or loneliness, fears of heights, darkness and enclosed spaces are not uncommon dislikes.

  • Craving for sweets, sour and salty things.

When Balanced : Imaginative, creative, spiritual and tranquil. Flexible, fast in actions, alert, good at making money and loving, easily excited, clairvoyant.

When Imbalanced : Fears, restless, worry, anxiety, poor spirituality and lacks creative thinking, hyperactive. Spends on trifles things, difficult in saving, dry skin, constipation, gas and arthritis.

Tips that can benefit a vata person.

  • Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more, go ahead.

  • Regular routine that you can follow.

  • Meals at 7:am - 12:pm - 4:pm and something light after 6:pm

  • Avoid on a daily, raw or cold foods

  • Start sleeping at 10:pm for best results in mood, waking at 5/7:am to start your day great.

  • Be flexible when experiencing something new this will help you from feeling bored.

  • Sitting under a tree on the ground, grounding yourself.
